Slade Cottage is an enchanting property, which adjoins the rear of Slade House, so retains privacy.
The cottage is rated ‘Four Stars' - by the ETC. There is a wealth of old beams which blend with lighter coloured timbers used extensively and sympathetically in the restoration of the property. On the ground floor, the fully fitted kitchen dining room, with its quarry tiled floor and original farmhouse range, has all you need, including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, split level oven / hob and microwave. A beautiful, modern bathroom, with over-bath shower is en-suite to the downstairs double bedroom (with a 5ft bed) and there is also a separate cloakroom/WC on the ground floor. On the first floor, Slade Cottage has an extremely attractive lounge, with beamed, sloping ceilings, comfortable furnishings and a wood burning stove, for which logs are included. A further cosy bedroom, equipped with twin beds, is also situated on the first floor, complete with an en-suite WC. For an extra cosy stay outside the warmer months of the year, night storage heating and a double electric blanket are provided. Externally, the patio area is a pleasant area where you can sit and enjoy the views over the garden to the hills beyond.
