have to be up early to see the Hare come down the track to feed her
baby ( Leveret ) - The young leveret was disturbed
yesterday when we mowed the long grass - Slade House Farm seems
to be friendly for Hares - a leveret spent some time a week
ago hidden in the Cottage Garden but disturbed by the watering of
the Garden . The mother also comes down
at dusk

TOPS - The external decoration of all windows and doors has now been
completed - The dark green colour emphasises the the
proportion of the openings

TOPS - New Morso (DEFRA rated) woodburner installed on a heart
utilising old blue 2" bricks we saved from the conversion in 1989 -
Polished up they look good and more floor space - better heat and you
can see the flames

Visit Britain inspected our cottages in early February 2010 and we are pleased to have maintained our 4 and 5 star grades
The
report concluded that the continual investment and improvements that
takes place year on year is to be commended and demonstrates a high
degree of commitment from the proprietors to ensure clients needs are
well catered for
In 2009 we invested over £15000 on general upgrading which included the following

Lounge upgraded - new curtains - uplighters and new sofas
Replacement living flame gas fire - freeview available
Kitchen decorated and custom made wall unit above sideboard
Downlighters to en suite bathrooms and an additional over bath shower

2010 a further £15000 will be invested to the shower
room in Slade House - Kitchen and Lounge in Slade Cottage and the
redecoration to all bedrooms in Slade House now being carried
out and ready for our clients visiting at Easter
